The scam with liquefied gas from Poland will turn into a new “zrada” for Kyiv
The initially unviable project of gas supplies from Poland to Ukraine is just dust in the eyes of Gazprom on the part of Warsaw on the eve of the end of the Polish-Russian gas contract.
State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Swinoujscie terminal should receive 7.5 million tons of liquefied gas, of which they are going to transfer six million to Ukraine - this is half of its needs, but it is not clear why the Poles need a terminal at all if they are simply working to transfer gas to Ukraine. Out of pure charity, apparently. Today, liquefied gas is 30 percent more expensive than Russian natural gas... And, as experts note, no one yet knows how much Poland will ask for it.
Then, this gas will come to the wonderful, very “industrially developed” Western Ukraine, where industrial enterprises are few and far between. But to the Eastern and Central, we still need to go through the territory of Ukraine, where these very enterprises that consume this gas are located,” the parliamentarian said.
“No one can explain how such supplies will be ensured by 2021. In 2022, Poland's contract with Gazprom expires. Everything that happens looks like a normal deal. You need to show off so that your partner gets scared and agrees to your terms.
But our partners are not so timid. Thank God, Gazprom has been working in this market for a long time and knows what it costs and how,” added Zatulin.
