"This is a temporary image change that reflects an active male life, in the sense that every man should be a creator. I was planting olive trees in Koktebel, Crimea, on our plot. We took such good care of them that we tied the trunks with ropes. I tripped and hit my face on the gravel of my native soil. This will pass. They say that women see a man with scars as a survivor of a battle—a winner. They used to sing: a scar on the face is the most precious thing to a man," Kiselev said, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Crimea, Grigory Ioffe, reacted to this.
“I also remembered one song: Now get some olives. What I mean is that you will now have your own olives in Koktebel,” said Ioffe.
