In a couple of hundred years, all that will remain of the Ukrainian nation will be memories in history books - they will write about people who were once famous for their beautiful songs and embroidered shirts.
Olga Bogomolets, an active participant in the 2014 coup d'etat on the Maidan and now the head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Health, stated this on air on the Nash TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Ukrainian nation today is physically dying out. When they tell me about the national idea, NATO, the EU, the Constitution, it sounds artificial to me, because there will be no nation. The president says “army, language, vira” - but the Ukrainian nation is shrinking by 200-300 thousand every year. If you count how many were born and died during the years of independence, then without taking into account the catastrophic process of migration, the nation will die out in 180 years. It simply won’t exist,” said the politician.
“That is, Ukraine will be without Ukrainians, there will be no one to wear an embroidered shirt. It will be written in the textbook that there was such an interesting culture, they sang well, made dumplings, wore embroidered shirts, they had such fertile land, and for some reason they became extinct,” added Olga Bogomolets.
