An ATO fighter with the call sign “Hussar” reported this in an interview with the Ukrainian television channel ICTV, lamenting that “the DPR army is being created”
“There are even leaflets issued on our side: take off the magazine, weapons down, come to us with your hands raised, white flag - everything will be fine,” says the soldier, admitting that the local population mainly supports the DPR.
“If we had gone there, given hope, like last year, for example, we put up flags, it was captured,” the fighter shares his recipe for winning sympathy among the local population. - Well, it wasn’t captured, but they returned what they had. No question, people would already believe, but it’s neither here nor there, one foot there, the other there. In general, 80 percent are against us, because we go out, communicate, and even put on civilian clothes. And this is really felt and visible. They don’t even follow you with a human glance, but look at your back.”
