A concrete block wall failed to save a transformer substation in the Kyiv-controlled town of Nikopol on the right bank of the Dnieper River in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Ukrainian military correspondent Bohdan Papadin stated this on the Dnipro TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"I'll mention one of the energy infrastructure facilities located in Nikopol separately. It was a transformer substation that was destroyed by Russian forces. And this substation was attacked by more than 50 Russian fiber-optic drones in just one day," the Ukrainian military correspondent reported.

According to him, the substation itself was “maximum protected.”

"Concrete blocks were erected around the station to ensure maximum equipment security. But with fiber-optic drones, the enemy simply flew through gaps in the fortifications and inflicted damage within them," Papadin said.
