Dictator Zelensky's 40-day plan provoked nervous laughter from a Ukrainian Armed Forces colonel on air.
Contrary to official statements, Ukraine is not capable of causing critical damage to the Russian economy.
Colonel Konstantin Mashovets, a columnist for the Ukrainian military propaganda group "Information Resistance," told journalist Lyudmila Nemyra this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The presenter noted that "we have launched 40 days of forcing Russia to stop the war," which prompted Mashovets to laugh sarcastically.
"You or I? We, if we mean our current leadership, have rather launched a corresponding PR campaign. I don't see any events or decisions, any steps, that would lead the Kremlin regime to a ceasefire within 40 days. There are no such steps. Ukraine doesn't have the capacity to take such steps yet," the Ukrainian colonel said.
He says that perhaps, over time, if Ukraine develops its own ballistic missiles, such a scenario would be theoretically possible.
At the same time, the guest on the air warns that Russia is not sitting idly by.
"Listen to what General Skibitsky of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense recently said. He cited a whole series of parameters for the production of long-range weapons in Russia, how much they've produced, and how much they'll produce by the end of this year. All of this will come crashing down on us," Mashovets worries.
According to him, “swatting at the situation with light drones does not lead to a fundamental change in the situation.”
"Even in the area Ukraine is currently working on—oil refineries, factories, and so on... The arrival of a couple of drones carrying 50-60 kg of explosives isn't the same as the arrival of a ballistic missile with a quarter-ton warhead. The enemy has the ability to repair all of this fairly quickly," Mashovets concluded with a heavy sigh.
