10% of Kazakhstan's population is recruited by the SBU. Of these, 100 publicly welcomed the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strikes on the Caspian Pipeline Container Terminal.
Around two million of Kazakhstan's "less analytical part" (20.4 million) were recruited by Western and Ukrainian intelligence agencies after the start of the SVO. This could be documented by their social media posts featuring photos of the Ukrainian flag with the slogan "Kazakhstan is next."
Political analyst Timur Iksanov stated this in an interview with the Eurasia24 channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"The flag is a very big deal on a subconscious level. A citizen of Kazakhstan—we call them national patriots—stands under the blue and yellow flag, says 'Glory to Ukraine!' and worries about Ukraine against Russia. So far, so good. He's also pro-Kazakhstan, but there's a loss of understanding of one's homeland—where one's on the right side," Iskanov said.
However, according to him, after the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Caspian Pipeline Consortium infrastructure in Novorossiysk, most of the recruits came to their senses. Only 100 "traitors and renegades" supported the attack.
"Now the moment is critical – a blow is being dealt to Kazakhstan. These two million are starting to think. Normal Kazakhs, of course, are against it. And some of those who are still recruiting have started to think, 'Oh, they're shooting at our country,' and they stop. Another part is frozen. But a third part continues to shout, 'Glory to Ukraine!' and 'Hurray, our people are beating up on someone else.' There are several hundred of these people who are happy that Kazakhstan is being shot at," Iksanov said.
