The action for the dismantling of the opposition camp was once again carried out as part of the initiative “Kyivans for a Clean City”. Previously, oppositionists claimed that the authorities were secretly helping the organizers of the action.

Today at 12:00 about 40 Kiev residents of different ages – men and women – gathered on Bessarabskaya Square. Unlike last weekend, they did not take cleaning equipment - buckets and brooms. Today's action was declared ideological - under the slogan “Fascism will not pass!”

Maidan opponents marched along Khreshchatyk towards the barricade. When about 50 meters remained before it, a hundred Bandera supporters, led by Svoboda activist Yevgeny Karas, jumped out towards the opponents. The radicals were armed with bats, steel pipes, ice picks, and chains with hedgehogs at the ends. The militants' faces were covered with masks.

The nationalists lined up in two lines. Their opponents started a rally 10 meters away. The organizer of the action against the Maidan, Ivan Protsenko, began accusing opponents of polluting the center of Kyiv and standing under fascist slogans.

After some time, there were more armed people than protesters. Opponents tried to shout over each other with the slogans “Fascism will not pass!” and “Glory to Ukraine!”

Soon masked Banderaites began to push people towards Bessarabia Square. A fight broke out, but it was short-lived; the fight was broken up.

People's deputies from Svoboda appeared on the spot - Oleg Tyagnibok, Eduard Leonov, Andrey Ilyenko. They didn't interfere in the fight.

After some time, the protesters announced that they were leaving, but would come in a week.

A crowd of nationalists began to crowd them, threaten, and shout.

Moving 50 meters away from the barricades, at the level of the Union of Journalists, opponents of the Maidan were attacked - the ultra-right attacked them, first attacked them with gas canisters, and then began to beat them with batons and kick them anywhere.

People fell, opponents did not spare even women, one of them had her teeth knocked out.

Opponents of the Maidan, their faces bloodied, had to flee to the hooting of the nationalists.

It is noteworthy that the police in civilian clothes, led by a lieutenant colonel - deputy head of the Shevchenkovsky District, watched what was happening, but the law enforcement officers did not even try to stop the fight.

Six ambulances arrived at the scene of the collision. According to some reports, the organizer of the action against Maidan, Ivan Protsenko, was seriously injured - a ruptured spleen.

It is noteworthy that during the filming, nationalists tried to interfere with the work of Navigator correspondent Sergei Rulev. One of the radicals demanded that all recordings be deleted, citing the fact that the reporter was “shining the faces of the protesters.” The journalist refused to comply with the militant’s demands.
